BIMstream scanned, mapped, flew, and modeled the historic Arlington Street Church in support of exterior façade renovations for Bruner Cott and SGH. Using a Leica RTC360, we captured high-definition colorized LiDAR scans of the full building exterior and steeple interior, and delivered immersive VR videography on site, allowing architects and engineers to direct exactly which areas they needed to see.
The Church was modeled in LOD450, with each individual stone represented as a separate Family to enable condition-based scheduling and reporting. Aerial capture in Boston's Back Bay facilitated the creation of an as-operated reality mesh for condition assessment, while elevational orthomosaic images were processed and incorporated into the documentation set, providing a comprehensive and fully coordinated record of existing conditions.
