2025|Cambridge, MA
BIMstream partnered with BioMed Realty to deliver complete reality capture and digital twin modeling for 38 Sidney Street, a 122,000 sq. ft. lab and office building in Cambridge's University Park campus. Using a multi-scanner workflow combining NavVis VLX, Leica RTC360, and GeoSLAM Revo RT, the team captured over 147,000 sq. ft. of visible surfaces and nearly 99,000 sq. ft. of above-ceiling MEP systems across all five floors and roof areas in just four days on site.
Deliverables included LOD 200 Revit models for architectural, structural, and MEP systems with an optional LOD 300 upgrade, along with a comprehensive 2D documentation set covering floor plans, RCPs, roof plans, elevations, and equipment schedules. All 360° imagery and digital twin data were hosted securely via BIMstream’s platform, CERQA, giving BioMed's facilities and design teams easy access for visualization, coordination, and future planning.
